Thirty kilometres between the sea and the mountains, cycling through the landscapes of the Gargano.

The experience starts at Regiohotel Manfredi and takes you all the way to Mattinata, along a route combining nature, breathtaking views and history.

Leaving Manfredonia behind, you will cycle along the Macchia coastline, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, traditional dry-stone walls and beautiful views over the Adriatic Sea. Kilometre after kilometre, the urban landscape gradually gives way to the unspoilt nature and colours of the Gargano.

After a stop at the Chiancamasitto pools, the ride continues uphill towards Monte Saraceno.

Here, cycling meets history. Overlooking the sea, Monte Saraceno is home to one of the most important archaeological sites of the ancient Daunian civilisation, with its fascinating necropolis and spectacular views over the coastline. An extraordinary place where the Gargano mountains seem to plunge directly into the Adriatic Sea.

From Monte Saraceno, the route continues downhill towards Mattinata, the final destination of the experience.

The Manfredonia–Mattinata route is also the first stage of the Giro ad Anello del Gargano (GAG) – Gargano Loop, a cycle touring itinerary designed to explore the Gargano promontory on two wheels.

The experience includes

• e-bike rental;

• helmet and safety kit;

• e-bike delivery at Regiohotel Manfredi;

• GPS route to follow;

• mechanical assistance.

You can choose to enjoy the route independently using the provided navigation route, or request the assistance of a guide for an additional fee.

A return shuttle service from Mattinata to Regiohotel Manfredi is also available upon request.
