Metal Church in Siponto the giant Installation by Edoardo Tresoldi

The Italian installation artist was able to reinterpret the spaces once occupied by the ancient early Christian Church, creating a wire mesh installation light and transparent in the Archaeological Park of Siponto, few meters from the town of Manfredonia.

Who would have bet on such a thing. The Archaeological Park of Siponto is the unique and original work of the young Roman artist that has already brought the Sipontino site to get more number of visitors than many other sites of historical interest such as Castel del Monte.

Since the doors of the new park were opened, many of the major national and international news sites, as well as blogs and architectural sites, in addition to social networks like Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, have fueled the tam-tam that lifted Manfredonia to be 'the place to be' of this spring-summer 2016.

The Archaeological Park of Siponto is very simple to achieve.

Go to Manfredonia by the SP 89 that connects Foggia (Manfredonia SUD - Riviera). The Basilica is visible from afar  on the right of the road, a few hundred meters from town and sits atop a hill (the hill arisen on the ruins of Siponto buried by a violent earthquake in the distant 1223).

There are comfortable parking areas around entrances and additional parking areas. We warn you to be very careful crossing the road and related movements by car and on foot along these spaces as it is still a busy and fast road.

You can visit the Archaeological Park of Siponto: From 10.00 to 13.00 and from 17.00 to 21.00. We suggest you to visit from from dusk to night.
Admission is free.
